Surf, Respect and Enjoy!

Aloha and welcome to the World Wave Guide.

Surf Planet Earth! This is a tribute to the wonders of the surfing world. Don't expect to find many secret spots here or a detailed description to every surf break of the globe. We are exploring in detail just a few of the legendary surf spots around the globe as a love story with waves, a deep respect for nature and the legacy of surfing.

Disclaimer
This guide is meant to inspire, entertain and educate. It is not meant to be a substitute for real experience and proper instruction. Surfing is a thrilling and hazardous sport with the potential to be deadly.
  • Know how to swim.
  • Take surfing lessons with a certified school or instructor.
  • Always consult with local experts, use appropriate gear for the conditions and never surf alone.
  • Tread lightly, travel carefully and have fun!
  • Adhere to The Surfer's Code
  • In the end you are responsible for your own fate, make it an epic one!

Surfing totally depends on Mother Nature and all of her variables. Not all information in this guide may be current or accurate. Places and conditions are subject to change without warning. Certain countries have volatile po litical situations, and/or are subject to natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and more. Be wary of the locals--both humans and creatures like sharks, jellyfish, electric eels, insects, plants etc. are dangerous, could be hungry and just might remind you that you are visitors in their home. Do your homework before you get in the water. Be prepared when things go wrong.

Surfing is a journey, be it out at your local beach or on a surf chasing adventure to the ends of the Earth. The sport and lifestyle is a dynamic experience; be prepared with proper planning and a positive attitude. Use common sense, treat all people with respect, enjoy the differences of other cultures, share, be flexible, make friends, help others, avoid conflict, and be aware of your surroundings. Become a “positive ambassador” for surfing. Spread the stoke, the good vibes, and make sure to smile--it will make a world of difference.
